The California native and sword-and-sorcery author Lana Jean Clarkson, who was born on April 5, 1962, is most known for playing the titular character in the 1985 movie Barbarian Queen and for her work in the genre. She was a model as well.

Clarkson was nurtured in the hills of Sonoma County, California, from an early age. He was born in Long Beach, California, to Donna and James M. Clarkson. She has a sister named Fawn and a brother named Jessee J. Clarkson.

She attended Cloverdale High School and Pacific Union College Preparatory School while residing in Northern California.

The Clarkson family moved back to Southern California around Christmas time in 1978 and resided in the San Fernando Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles. Following her family’s relocation return to Los Angeles County, Clarkson attempted a career as an actor and fashion model.

No, they never dated. Clarkson was discovered dead in the home of music producer Phil Spector on February 3, 2003. She met Spector that early morning while working at the House of Blues in Los Angeles.

They traveled to Spector’s residence in his limousine after leaving the House of Blues. While his chauffeur waited outside in the car, Spector and Clarkson entered. [6] The driver heard a gunshot about an hour later, and then Spector emerged from his home through the rear door brandishing a weapon.

Affidavits state that he was heard saying, “I guess I just shot her.” Later, Spector claimed that Clarkson “kissed the pistol” and died in an “accidental suicide.”

In 2007, Spector made an appearance in court on charges related to Clarkson’s slaying. The trial judge declared a mistrial on September 26, 2007, since the jury was evenly divided in favor of conviction, 10 to 2.

On October 20, 2008, Spector was retried for second-degree murder after the prosecution asked for one. He was convicted guilty of killing Clarkson on April 13, 2009.

On May 29, 2009, Spector was given a state prison term of 19 years to life. While still in prison, he passed away in 2021.

Lana Clarkson’s mother, Donna Clarkson, and Spector and his insurance provider reached a civil settlement in February 2012 for Lana’s wrongful death. Public disclosure of the settlement’s terms was not made.
