Kim Victoria Cattrall was born on August 21st, 1956 in Mossley Hill, Liverpool. She is the daughter of Gladys Shane, a secretary, and Dennis Cattrall, a construction engineer.

At the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, Cattrall pursued her education. After receiving her degree, she signed a five-year deal with the filmmaker Otto Preminger. Before Universal Studios bought out the remainder of her contract, she landed her first acting role in the 1975 action thriller “Rosebud.”

One of her first jobs with Universal was a performance in a 1977 episode of “Quincy, M.E.” starring Jack Klugman. She then got roles in other TV shows, including “Columbo” and “Starsky and Hutch.”

She then made appearances in the miniseries “The Bastard” and “The Rebels.” After that, Cattrall made an appearance on the television series “The Incredible Hulk” before transitioning to the big screen and playing Jack Lemmon’s opposite in the Oscar-nominated 1980 film “Tribute.”

She later appeared in the films “Crossbar” and “Ticket to Heaven.” When Kim portrayed P.E. teacher, Miss Honeywell, in the teen sex comedy “Porky’s” in 1982, she received a lot of media attention for the first time. Two years later, she took part in the first “Police Academy.”
