During the filming of Marvel’s Morbius, Jared Leto feigned to be incapacitated between takes, according to the movie’s director Daniel Espinosa.

The 50-year-old actor has built a reputation for going above and beyond to get into the character over the course of his career. Jared (who played the Joker) acknowledged using condoms and anal beads to “create a dynamic” on set when filming Suicide Squad.

Jared also said in an interview with Vulture that he spent time living on the streets with actual drug users in order to get into character as Harry in Requiem For A Dream. Right…

There have been rumors that Jared, who is portraying the crippled role on set, would utilize crutches when stumbling to the restroom. Although Jared’s 45-minute restroom breaks significantly slowed down production, he was given a wheelchair to use.

In a chat with MovieMaker, director Daniel Espinosa revealed that the rumors are accurate. “When he walks in, he’s Michael Morbius,” he claimed. He frequently played Michael Morbius before he was Morbius, therefore he always entered the scene as a completely crippled person. Because it was so difficult for him to walk, it would take him around 20 minutes to reach the front of the camera.
