Richard John Davies was a well-known British television sports broadcaster who was born on April 30, 1933 and died on February 19, 2023.
He is most known for serving as the host of the well-liked show “World of Sport” from 1968 to 1985. Davies attended Oldershaw Grammar School in Wallasey, Merseyside, after clearing his eleven-plus test.
Subsequently, he completed his National Service by serving in the Royal Air Force. He also had purser positions aboard the ocean liners RMS Queen Mary and RMS Queen Elizabeth.

He leaves behind a devoted wife, two devoted sons, four grandchildren, and two cherished pets.
Dickie had four grandkids as well.
