Gospel singer Diana Asamoah has spoken out on reports that she received a sizable sum of money from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Diana Asamoah stated that such matters are private in response to questions on the rumors that the party had given her a house and car as gifts.
She did not, however, duck answering possible public criticism, especially when it came to the use of tax dollars to pay for her extravagant lifestyle.
In an interview that Adomonline.com listened to on Accra FM, the gospel singer stated that if the rumors were accurate, she is only now enjoying the fruits of her labor.
When asked for a specific statement regarding getting juicy parcels, she cited Isaiah 65:21–24, which states that people have the right to partake in the results of their labor.
Diana Asamoah urged Ghanaians to refrain from interfering in her personal matters and to take pleasure in what their constituents have to offer.
