Developing: Unidentified tankers siphon oil from ‘faulty’ vessel at Prampram

Upon reaching the shores of Prampram in the Greater Accra Region, a vessel in transit to Tema port developed a fault. Reports reaching TV3 indicate that some unidentified tankers were seen siphoning crude oil from the faulty vessel. The TV3 crew, attempting to capture the incident on camera, was briefly detained by armed members from the community.

Security personnel at the location also prevented the public from getting close to the shore. In response to the situation, the MP for the area, Samuel Nartey George, intervened by sending a team to escort the TV3 crew to safety.

This is a developing story, and more details are expected to emerge soon. The incident raises concerns about the security and safety of oil transport in the region.
