Dermot O’Neill (died 1 July 2022) was an Irish gardener and editor of Garden Heaven magazine.
He appeared on several radio and television programs 9 RTÉ and BBC Northern Ireland and contributed regular columns for Irish newspapers and magazines including the RTÉ Guide, The Irish Times, Northern Ireland Homes & Lifestyle, and the Sunday Independent.

Dermot O’Neill was married to Chickie Dermot before he died on July 1, 2022.
Dermot and Chickie first met at a Brendan O’Carroll gig in Ballymun. The pair started chatting and hit it off. Dermot and Chickie had both been previously married with children and waited 20 years before tying the knot in 2012.
O’Neill was diagnosed with cancer in 2009, which he initially thought to be a recurrence of a previous stomach ulcer, O’Neill was later diagnosed with stomach cancer and non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Chickie was great support and comfort to Dermot when he was ill with cancer.
