Derion Rayshawn Kendrick, a cornerback for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League, was born on August 24, 2000. He went to Clemson and Georgia for college football.
Kendrick went to Rock Hill, South Carolina’s South Pointe High School. In high school, he was a quarterback and wide receiver. He was named the Gatorade Football Player of the Year in South Carolina after passing for 2,683 yards and 30 touchdowns as a senior and rushing for 1,194 yards and 20 more.
Kendrick was a candidate for the U.S. Army Player of the Year Award after competing in the 2018 U.S. Army All-American Game. He decided to play college football at Clemson University.
In 2018, Kendrick started off as a wide receiver for Clemson. As a true freshman during the season, he played in 15 games and had 15 receptions for 210 yards. Prior to his sophomore season in 2019, he made the transfer to cornerback, but after impressing coaches, he made the change permanently and was given the starting job.
