On August 24, 2000, Derion Rayshawn Kendrick was born to his mother and father. He is a cornerback for the Georgia Bulldogs of the Southeastern Conference in American football.
In Rock Hill, South Carolina, Kendrick attended South Pointe High School. In high school, he was a quarterback and wide receiver.
As a senior, he passed for 2,683 yards and 30 touchdowns while also rushing for 1,194 yards and another 20 scores. He was selected as the Gatorade Football Player of the Year in South Carolina.
Following his participation in the 2018 US Army All-American Game, Kendrick received a nomination for the US Army Player of the Year Award. After high school, he decided to play collegiate football at Clemson University.
Kendrick made his wide-receiving debut for Clemson in 2018. He participated in 15 games as a true freshman during that season, making 15 completions for 210 yards. He briefly converted to cornerback prior to his sophomore campaign in 2019, but after impressing coaches, he stayed there full-time and was promoted to the starting lineup.
He had 43 tackles, a score, and two interceptions in 15 starts. The Clemson University football team fired Kendric in February 2021. He had several issues with the team’s rules, which is what caused this. He revealed his intention to move to Georgia in June.
