Derek Russo was born and is an actor, stuntman, and producer. My sincere belief is that the vast majority of talented people in the world are somewhere between “fairly unknown” and “completely unknown.” I believe that the more we, the talented unknowns, network with one another, the better for all of us. That is made possible by the internet. I am a SAG-e actor who recently relocated to Atlanta from Miami and am looking for any and all opportunities to hone my craft and expand my network.
Channel 4 announced on May 9, 2012, that it had commissioned a full series, which would begin airing on January 30, 2013. Derek was recommissioned for a second series, to be shown on Channel 4 and later on Netflix, on March 4, 2013 (two days before the final episode of the first series). On September 12, 2013, Netflix made the first series available for streaming. The second series, consisting of six episodes, premiered on Channel 4 on April 23, 2014, and concluded on May 28, 2014. Channel 4 announced in November 2014 that a 60-minute “final” special episode of Derek would air in the United Kingdom on December 22, 2014.
