She is most recognized for her performances as Dr. Rhonda Pine in the HBO comedy-drama television series Insecure, Mrs. Yvonne Teasley in the Fox adolescent drama Beverly Hills, 90210 (1991-2000), and Judge Rebecca Damsen in the CBS drama series The Guardian (2001-2004).
She played Olivia Biggs in the comedic movie Bio-Dome in 1996, Sky Marshal Meru in the sci-fi action movie Starship Troopers in 1997, Judge Constance Mullen in the drama movie A Civil Action in 1998, Marlene Andre in the biographical drama movie Ray, Principal Garrison in the drama movie Coach Carter in 2005, and Flora in the thriller movie The Call in 2006.
