Demetrius Shipp Jr., an American actor, was born in Carson, California, on November 20, 1988. Demetrius portrays the actor and rapper Tupac Shakur in the 2017 film All Eyez on Me. He also performed a starring role in the film All American, portraying a gang leader named Tyrone Moore.
Due to his strong resemblance to the well-known hip-hop singer, Shipp was encouraged to audition by a friend in 2011, and he was ultimately picked to play Tupac.
Shipp admitted that he “never aspired to act” in an interview. Since principal photography did not begin until 2015, the film was not released until June 2017.
