DeForest On March 17, 1994, George Buckner—a linebacker with the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League—was born. He played football as an undergraduate while attending the University of Oregon, and the San Francisco 49ers selected him in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
While playing with the 49ers in 2019, Buckner was selected for the second team of the All-Pro game and made the Pro Bowl. In 2020, he was selected for the Colts’ first-team All-Pro team; the next year, he was selected for the Pro Bowl.
