Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has expressed his concerns about the defensive and goalkeeping errors that have been plaguing his team in the Ghana Premier League. Ouattara described these mistakes as “cancers” that have been letting the team down and preventing them from securing crucial victories.

In a post-match interview following Hearts of Oak’s 2-0 loss to Legon Cities, Ouattara lamented the recurring issue of conceding goals due to faults in the defense and goalkeeping departments. He emphasized that these errors have been a major factor in the team’s recent struggles in the league.

As a result of the defeat, Hearts of Oak currently find themselves in 12th place on the league table with 35 points. Securing a top-four finish in the season is now posing a significant challenge for the Phobians.

Looking ahead, Hearts of Oak are set to face Accra Lions in their upcoming match on Wednesday, May 1. The game will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium, providing an opportunity for the team to address their defensive and goalkeeping issues and bounce back from their recent setbacks.
