President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has today July 27, posted a glowing tribute to the late former vice president, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur.
After the final funeral rites and burial of the late former veep at the Military Cemetery, Akufo-Addo took to his official Twitter page to post his final farewell.
He tweeted: “Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur’s death is not only a loss for his party, the NDC, or his family, or for the community from which he came. It is a loss for the entire country. Ghana is poorer for his departure. #RIPKBAA“
“He was a vibrant personality in our national life, who still had so much in him to give to our country. He was a fine public servant, a man of dignity and humility, who conducted himself very well in the public space of Ghana. #RIPKBAA“
“On behalf of the Government and people of Ghana, my wife, Rebecca, and my entire family, I extend our profound condolences to his devoted wife, Matilda, and their children, Kwesi Nyan and Araba Akyere, and his mother, Maa Effie, on their loss. #RIPKBAA“
“I wish him peaceful rest in the bosom of the Almighty. He deserves it. Farewell Paa Kwesi. God bless.”
The former Vice President Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur died on 29 June 2018 at the 37 Military Hospital after reportedly collapsing at the Air Force Gym during his routine morning workout session.
He left behind a wife (Matilda Amissah Arthur) and 2 Children.
