DCOP Kwesi Ofori named on Bawumia’s Manifesto Committee for security

Kwesi Ofori, a retired deputy commissioner of police (DCOP), is a member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) manifesto committee.

He will offer his knowledge to the Edward Asomani-led security group.

This appointment was mentioned in a statement released on Thursday, February 22, by Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the campaign director for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

On Wednesday, July 20, 2022, DCOP Ofori left the Police Service after he reached the 60-year-old required retirement age. His thirty-five years in the Police Service have given him a plethora of experience.

He demonstrated a thorough awareness of security issues while serving as the Director-General of the Public Affairs Directorate of the Ghana Police until his retirement.
