dBrand vs. Casetify lawsuit update: Youtuber JerryRigEverything, dBrand sue Casetify

American YouTuber JerryRigEverything (Zack Nelson) and device skin firm dBrand have jointly taken legal action against Casetify over copyright infringement.

Casetify, a Hong Kong company that produces phone cases and electronic accessories, is in what appears to be serious trouble after copying the works of Zack and Brand, Ghanafuo.com has learned.

The lawsuit against the $1 billion company claims it copied dBrand’s Teardown device skins and cases, without making any modifications whatsoever.

dBrand’s products are made to look like the internals of whatever phone, tablet, or laptop you’ve purchased them for and the latest cases from Casetify look exactly the same.

Update:

Casetify responded to the lawsuit via a Twitter (X) post, saying it ‘has always been a bastion of originality, and always hold a pride in it.

It said they are currently investigating copyright allegations and have removed all the products in question from their platforms.
