David Sills V, a wide receiver with the New York Giants of the National Football League, was born on May 29, 1996.

He got major media attention in 2010 as a seventh-grade quarterback after formally committing to play football at the University of Southern California. In 2014, Sills backed out of his pledge to play for USC and signed a national letter of intent to play for West Virginia University.

Sills began his undergraduate career as a quarterback then moved to wide receiver as a freshman. Sills transferred to El Camino College after completing his first year with the West Virginia Mountaineers, but he returned to West Virginia in 2017.

He was named to the Walter Camp Football Foundation and American Football Coaches Association’s second team of 2018 College Football All-Americans and was named the Big 12 Conference’s leading scorer in touchdowns in 2018.

In 1996, Sills was born. David Sills IV and Denise are his parents. His older sisters are Abby and Emma. His father was a cornerback for the Virginia Military Institute and is now a business developer and contractor. At age six, he started playing youth football, and at age nine, he started working out with quarterback coach Steve Clarkson.
