David William Moyes (born 25 April 1963) is a former player and Scottish professional football manager. He is currently the manager of West Ham United, a Premier League club. He previously held the positions of manager at Preston North End, Everton, Manchester United, Real Sociedad, and Sunderland.
Moyes was named League Managers Association Manager of the Year in 2003, 2005, and 2009. He also serves on the League Managers Association’s executive committee.

David Sr., Moyes’ father, is an Everton scout and was previously a coach at Drumchapel Amateurs, where Moyes began his career. He worked full-time as a patternmaker and later as a lecturer at Anniesland College in North Glasgow. Joan Moyes, Moyes’ mother, was from Portrush in Northern Ireland and worked in Glasgow clothing stores.
