David L. Mills was an American computer engineer and pioneer of the Internet who lived from June 3, 1938, to January 17, 2024.

Mills had glaucoma, but as a toddler, a surgeon was able to save part of his vision in his left eye. He went to a visually impaired school in San Mateo, California. Around 2012, his eyesight started to deteriorate, and by 2022, he was completely blind. At the age of 85, Mills passed away in Newark, Delaware, on January 17, 2024.
