David Carmine popularly known as Dave Carr was a radio broadcaster who would read the local news to his Harrison radio audience. He was 80 years old at the time of his death.
Carmine had begun his career as a Detroit-area radio personality on WEXL. David Carmine realized his dream of owning a station when he founded one in Harrison in 1975.
The Harrison community did not have a local radio station and Carmine applied for the frequency of 92.1 and signed on the air with a country format… and kept it under this format until he retired and sold the station in 2002.
