Sapani has two children, Asantewaa Sapani, and Nyame Sapani. He gave them Ghanaian first names to honor his Ghanaian roots.
Sapani played drug lord Michael Kong in the 2013 action movie Singam II and made an appearance in Danny Boyle’s Trance.
He has performed on stage productions of Moon on a Rainbow Shawl by Errol John and Joe Turner’s Come and Gone by August Wilson.
Sapani has also performed in several Euripides productions, such as the Medea staging at The National Theatre.
