He portrayed Richard “Dick” Bagg in the 2002 comedy Van Wilder. He returned to New York in June 2002 to play William Lewis III on Guiding Light. He declined to have his contract extended, and in October 2005, he quit the program.

Upon his return to the part in October 2007, he received his first Daytime Emmy nomination in 2008 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
