American actor Daniel Thomas Cosgrove was born on December 16, 1970.

Daniel Cosgrove was raised in Branford, Connecticut, but he was born in New Haven, Connecticut. In 1989, he received his high school diploma from Notre Dame.

In the comedy Van Wilder, which came out in 2002, he played Richard “Dick” Bagg. He returned to New York in June 2002 to join the Guiding Light cast as Bill Lewis III. In October 2005, he left the show after deciding not to renew his contract. He reprised the role in October 2007 and received his first Daytime Emmy nomination in 2008 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
