Dan Kwaku Botwe, the former Minister of Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development, has been named the National Campaign Chairman for the campaign team of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Political activist and ICT expert Daniel Kweku Botwe was born in Abiriw, Eastern Region, on February 26, 1958. He represents the Okere constituency in Ghana’s Eastern Region as a member of parliament.
Currently serving his final term in parliament, the MP for Okere offers a wealth of political experience, as well as exceptional communication and managerial abilities, to the team.
Dan Botwe reportedly requested to be relieved of his ministerial duties so that he could focus on spearheading the campaign, according to an article published on adomonline.com.
He was instrumental in President John Agyekum Kufuor’s 2000 election, and the report stated that he is anticipated to contribute the same vigor to the group in order to fulfill the NPP’s “Breaking the 8” objective.
On Monday, February 20,24, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s flagbearer, is scheduled to submit his campaign team to the organization’s National Executives Committee.
