Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, the leader of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana, has praised Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare’s leadership abilities and called him the greatest the nation has had thus far.
The Muslim Cleric claims that since Dr. Dampare gained office, the police have changed and become more effective.
Members of the Police Management Board were present when Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih gave a speech on Wednesday at the 91st Annual Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Ghana. He urged Ghanaians to stand by and defend the IGP against those who would try to undermine him and his achievements to the country.
“One of the best things Allah has done for us in this country is to give us Dr Dampare as IGP at this particular point in time. He is one person who has done everything to raise the image of the Police Service” he said.
“Dampare is one person Ghana needs at this time and we owe him our support so he can continue to succeed and do all things she has started.
“Our current IGP has been exceptional, and everyone is seeing the dividend of good leadership. I pray for Allah’s blessings on him and his team leading the police service.”
Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih urged the political elite and other leaders to assist the police force in its continuous reforming endeavors.
