Damanghene and former Commissioner of Police passes on

The Damanghene, Nana Amoakwa III, has passed away, and the chiefs and people of Damang and Bosomtwi in the Wassa Fiase Traditional Area are in grief.

COP (rtd) J. B. Amofa, a more informal name for Nana Amoakwa III, was a Director of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) during the previous Kufuor administration.

He also had the title of retired Commissioner of Police. His age was 78.

The community is grieving over the news of Nana Amoakwa III’s passing because of his leadership abilities and dedication to the well-being of his people.

As per the customs and traditions of the Wassa Fiase people in the Western Region, the public would be informed in due order about the specifics of Nana Amoakwa III’s funeral.

The community is expected to gather together to pay their last respects and honor the legacy of their fallen leader, according to a statement issued by Okyerekwan Ampasi Bene-Mireku I, the Abakoma-Akyempimhene.
