Pafos FC, a team based in Cyprus, has officially welcomed Dutch defender Derrick Luckassen to the club. The 29-year-old, who is of Ghanaian descent, will be wearing the Number 23 jersey as he looks to make an impact for his new team.
Luckassen’s journey in professional football started at the AZ Alkmaar academies, where he worked his way up to the first team in the 2014/2015 season. During his time at AZ Alkmaar, he made 97 appearances for the club, including playing in various European competitions.
The defender later went on to play for PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands before moving to different clubs abroad, including Hertha BSC, RSC Anderlecht, Kasimpasa, and Karagumruk. His experience playing for various clubs will undoubtedly be valuable as he joins Pafos FC for the upcoming season.
