There are a reported 1,000 people gathered outside Buckingham Palace in the pouring rain amid grave worries for the Queen’s wellbeing.
As word spreads that Elizabeth II is receiving medical attention at Balmoral, as Buckingham Palace announced, the Royalist well-wishers assembled.
Doctors are reportedly “worried,” using language that is unusually serious for Palace pronouncements.
More than 100 people wearing umbrellas had gathered earlier on the stone stairs leading up to The Queen Victoria Memorial, which is located across from the royal home, and dozens more were seen standing at the gates.
That number has subsequently increased to approximately 1,000, and it appears only certain to grow.
There is now silence among those present as the downpour that soaked those waiting at the gates has stopped.
People have noticed a helicopter circling overhead as they patiently wait for updates on the monarch’s health.
