Cristian Garin is a Chilean professional tennis player who has been ranked as high as world No. 17 by the ATP in singles and is the current Chilean No. 1.

Cristian Garin has had a number of coaches over the years. Andrés Schneiter from 2019 to 2020, Franco Davín from 2020 to 2021 and Mariano Puerta from 2021 to 2022.
His current coach is Pepe Vendrell.
Vendrell is a Spanish tennis coach who currently coaches Cristian Garín who previously worked at the JC Ferrero Equelite Sport Academy, which is located in Villena, Spain.
Prior to coaching Garin, he coached fellow countryman, Roberto Bautista Agut from 2011 to 2021. During that time, he helped him win nine ATP Tour singles titles and reach a career-high ranking of World No. 9.
He was said to be “like a brother, a friend and a psychologist” to the player during their time together, and the two ended their professional relationship on good terms.
Vendrell was appointed as the captain of the Spanish team at the ATP Cup in January 2021.
