Cooper On November 21, 1993, Robert Rush, a quarterback with the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League, was born. He played collegiate football at Central Michigan before being signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cowboys in 2017.
Rush, from Charlotte, Michigan, was signed by Lansing Catholic High School, which has a student body of slightly over 500 people. He was a starter as quarterback for the football team for three years. He also played baseball and basketball (until his freshman year).
He was selected Central Michigan’s Scout Team Player of the Year during his redshirt season. Alex Niznak began the season as the backup quarterback, but by the third game, he had been designated the starter when Cody Kater injured his collarbone and was unable to move the offense against the University of New Hampshire.
Rush entered the game in the second quarter and helped his side rally from a 21-point deficit to win 24-21. He finished with three touchdown passes and 326 yards passing, tying the school record for the most in school history (97 yards). He swore not to give up his position or skip a start again after the game.
