Michael Chandler has offered Conor McGregor a UFC comeback fight, though the American may first face Dustin Poirier.
The 34-year-old Irishman McGregor is getting ready to fight again. His broken leg, which occurred in the opening round of his trilogy against the 33-year-old Poirier, required a year to heal.
Meanwhile, Chandler most recently eliminated Tony Ferguson in spectacular fashion. As previously reported, the former Bellator champion desires to formally welcome Conor McGregor back to the UFC with a blockbuster fixture.
In a new interview with the press, he has reaffirmed his desire to compete in what is arguably the UFC’s biggest-ever fight. He said: (I would love the chance to compete against him).
Although the 36-year-old lightweight contender is doing everything possible to get a fight with Notorious, he seems much more certain that a matchup with Poirier could be coming up next.
After the UFC London event on Saturday, Chandler told the media that he and Poirier were the only competitors who weren’t matched up inside the top five.
