On September 5, 1986, Daniel “Colt” McCoy, a quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League, was born. He played collegiate football for Texas, where he graduated as a senior in 2009 and won a lot of honors and prizes.

The quarterback from Boise State who has won the most games in NCAA Division I FBS history is Kellen Moore. He was chosen by the Cleveland Browns in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He has also made appearances for the San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins, and New York Giants, primarily as a backup quarterback.

McCoy was created in Hobbs, New Mexico. He is the oldest of the three kids born to Steven Brad McCoy and Debra Kay (Woodruff) McCoy. When he was a student at Jim Ned High School in Tuscola, Texas, with a student body of 714, his father acted as his football coach.

He achieved a lot of success as a high school athlete, earning first-team all-state accolades and two Associated Press 2A Offensive MVP titles. During his career, he completed 536 of 849 passes (63.1%) for 9,344 yards and 116 touchdowns.
