Former college football quarterback Colt McCoy, who played for the University of Texas at Austin before joining the National Football League, has a long list of honors. He currently represents the Washington Redskins after having played for the Cleveland Browns (2010–2012) and San Francisco 49ers (2013), who selected him with the 85th overall pick in 2010.
The 2009 Heisman Trophy nominee and 2008 and 2009 Walter Camp Award winner holds the school record for most wins, yards, and touchdown passes. He has since retired his No. 12 jersey.
On September 5, 1986, in Hobbs, New Mexico, Daniel McCoy, the eldest of Debra Kay and Steven Brad McCoy’s three children, was born. He played football for his father, who served as the school’s head coach, at Jim Ned High School in Tuscola, Texas.
This gifted young man has stood out among his classmates as a result of the accolades he has received on numerous occasions, notably for choosing the First team, which is made up of all the States. He completed 536 of 849 passes (63.1%) during his high school career for 9,344 yards and 116 touchdowns.

Former Baylor University track & field running back Rachel Glandorf McCoy is the wife of Colt McCoy. While Rachel was an intern for Keye TV in the summer of 2008, the couple happened to cross paths there. Before McCoy made the decision to ask her out, she had numerous interviews with the star quarterback for the Longhorns.
On January 12, 2010, immediately following his team’s defeat in the 2010 BCS National Championship game, they got engaged. McCoy brought his wife out onto the field in the middle of the stadium, where he pointed out the jumbotron that read, “Rachel, I love you! Could we get married? Colt. If asked, Rachel would have enthusiastically said yes.

Case and Chance McCoy, Colt McCoy’s siblings, both participated in collegiate football. Case, who was born on February 12, 1990, played quarterback for the University of Texas Longhorns football team, just like his older brother Chance, who played wide receiver for Abilene Christian University. After graduating, Case worked for HPI Corporate Services in Austin, where he now resides, as a Tenant Broker Services Specialist.
