Coalition Unemployed Trained Teachers chase GES for jobs

The Ghana Education Service has been tasked with hiring them by the Coalition of Unemployed Trained Teachers (CUTT).

To capitalize on the abilities and information that the state invested in their training, they have demanded that GES launch the recruitment portal by the first week of March.

The urgent request is a result of their licenses from the National Teaching Council (NTC) about to expire in 2025 and their continued unemployment.

In a statement released on February 21, the Coalition of Unemployed Trained Teachers also urged the Ministry of Finance to grant them financial authorization.

“We, therefore, call on the Ministry of Finance to grant us financial clearance and the Ministry of Education as well as the Ghana Education Service to expedite actions by opening the Portal for us to be recruited by the first week of March so that the skills, knowledge, competencies and the resources the state has invested in training us do not go in vain” the statement added.
