Renowned CNN political commentator, Alice Stewart, was captured beaming in what would be her final Instagram post just hours before her sudden death.
The former communications director for Texas Republican Ted Cruz’s 2016 presidential campaign was tragically found dead outdoors in Virginia on Saturday.
Stewart, 58, had appeared on Wolf Blitzer’s popular show, The Situation Room, on CNN just the night before. In a photo posted on Instagram, she was seen alongside fellow commentator Maria Cardona, smiling next to Blitzer. The caption read, “It’s always a sunny day when you can join the great Wolf Blitzer on CNN.”
Throughout her career, Stewart had a wealth of experience in politics. She had previously worked on the presidential campaigns of Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum in 2012 before becoming the communications director for Senator Ted Cruz during his 2016 bid for the presidency.
