Cliff Morris was a British Labour politician from the Greater Manchester Metropolitan Borough of Bolton.
He served the Halliwell ward from 1983 until his resignation from the council ahead of the May elections this year.
Between 2003 to 2004, he served as the ceremonial Mayor of Bolton and was elected leader of the Labour Party 2004.
I found out earlier in the day. “Most of us knew he’d been sick for a while, but it’s heartbreaking for him and his family. “Cliff truly dedicated his life to Bolton. “He tried his best in every way.”

He died a natural death as of 2022.
Mr. Morris’s tributes were led by Cllr Martin Donaghy.
“Cliff Morris was a lovely and kind man,” he remarked.

Cllr Martyn Cox, leader of Bolton Council, stated, “It’s extremely terrible news.”
He will be missed dearly.
