Chuck Berry, born Charles Edward Anderson Berry was an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist.

He fathered all his biological children with his wife, Themetta Suggs, to who he got married in 1948.
Berry won the Kennedy Center Honors in 2000 after being elected into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
He was placed seventh on Time magazine’s list of the top ten electric guitarists of all time in 2009. Berry was voted one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time in 1999 after receiving the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1984.
At the 50th annual BMI Pop Awards in 2002, Berry was designated one of the inaugural BMI Icons. He received the honor alongside Bo Diddley and Little Richard. He was named a Polar Music Prize laureate in August 2014.
