Christopher Thomas Sununu (born November 5, 1974) is a New Hampshire politician and engineer who has served as the state’s 82nd governor since 2017. Sununu is a Republican who served on the New Hampshire Executive Council from 2011 to 2017.
Sununu graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering. He formerly worked as the CEO of the Waterville Valley Resort in New Hampshire.
Sununu is the son of former New Hampshire governor and White House Chief of Staff John H. Sununu, as well as the younger brother of former United States Representative and Senator John E. Sununu.
