On Saturday night, Dave Chappelle performed a surprise act at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
For what Kevin Hart dubbed a “amazing night,” the 48-year-old stand-up comic opened for friends Chris Rock, 57, and Kevin Hart, 43.
It follows the controversial performer’s recent Minneapolis performance being postponed because of unrest at the city’s First Avenue theater.
According to TMZ, the seasoned comic entered the stage while Karma Police by Radiohead was playing.
Without even making an introduction, Chappelle opened for the audience while puffing on a cigarette.
The source noted that the comedian remarked, “Had to sneak my way in here,” inferring to his booted Minnesota set.
Despite what they may have seen in the news, he told his followers, “I’m okay, and I appreciate the support.”
On Sunday, Kevin visited social media to discuss the show and post three images.
‘Last night was by far the best moment of my career,’ he stated in a message to his 150 million Instagram followers.
