Christopher Ian Brian Mynott Philp is a British Conservative Party politician who has served as Chief Secretary to the Treasury since September 2022. He was elected in May 2015 as the Member of Parliament for Croydon South.

Chris attended the selective St Olave’s Grammar School in Orpington, Kent, and then studied physics at University College, Oxford. In 1996 he was editor of the Oxford University student newspaper, Cherwell.
