On June 27, 2000, Christian Josiah Olave, a wide receiver for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League, was born. He played collegiate football at Ohio State, where he set a school record with 35 career touchdown receptions. Olave was taken by the Saints in the first round of the 2022 National Football League Draft.

On June 27, 2000, in San Ysidro, California, Olave was born. His father is of Cuban descent, while his mother is African-American. He played football for two seasons at Eastlake High School in Chula Vista before moving on to Mission Hills High School in San Marcos, California. He was forced to skip his junior year due to California Interscholastic Federation transfer rules.

Olave hauled in 93 catches for 1,764 yards and 26 touchdowns in his final season. He participated in the school’s basketball and track teams as well. In January 2018, he made the decision to enrol at Ohio State University.

As a freshman, Olave participated in both the offence and special teams for Ohio State. He caught 12 passes for 197 yards and three touchdowns in his debut season. During Ohio State’s 62-39 victory over Michigan in 2018, he was able to bring in two touchdowns and deflect a punt.
