On Thursday, March 23 Former Premier League manager Chris Hughton would be taking up his new role as Ghana’s head coach.
He was appointed in early February by the GFA, after Otto Addo, who led the team from March of last year until their elimination in the group stage of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar was axed.
Per the records, Hughton who previously managed Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Nottingham Forest would have the opportunity to lead one of Africa’s football powerhouses.
Hughton will make his debut as a coach for the Blackstars in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations against Angola on March 23.
The game will be coming off at Kumasi’s Baba Yara Stadium which is expected to fill the stadium to full capacity. Moreover, the game’s second leg follows four days later in Luanda.
