Authorities said that severe floods on Friday night in Buckthorn Canyon in northern Colorado carried away a house, killing a lady and her kid.
There were several reports of flash flooding close to Glen Haven, an unincorporated neighborhood in Larimer County, as authorities advised citizens to go to higher ground, according to a spokesman for the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.
Among these calls were those reporting the loss of a camper trailer that was home to a mother and a female youngster. Both of them were discovered dead Friday night after personnel looked for them, according to Moore.
The camping trailer was reported to have been washed out in the middle to upper Buckhorn area during the late hours of the day. Officials then located a woman and juvenile female who had been killed. Officials continue to work on recovery efforts to reach anyone else who has been completely cut off by the flood.
