Keith Farrelle Cozart, best known by his stage name Chief Keef, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer.
He was born on August 15, 1995. Early 2010s high school students from Chicago’s South Side originally became fans of his music when he was still a teenager.
In 2012, American rapper Kanye West remixed Cozart’s well-known regional track “I Don’t Like,” which went to the Billboard Rap Top 20 and increased his notoriety. Keef signed with Interscope after a bidding conflict between big labels. His 2012 debut album Finally Rich included the hits “I Don’t Like” and “Love Sosa,” which helped to make Chicago rap subgenre drill mainstream.
