Born to Nigerian parents, Chido Nwokocha is an American actor who was once a player. Nigerian-American Chido Nwokocha was raised in Sacramento, California. He played wide receiver while a student at Ohio University.
He played professionally with the San Jose Sabercats of the Arena Football League after graduating from college. He sought an acting career after a knee injury ended his sports career.
Currently, Tyler Perry wrote, produced, and directed the BET series Sistas, in which Chido Nwokocha is a series regular. He will reprise his role as Gary Marshall Borders in Sistas, which got renewed for a second season.
