American beauty queen and winner of Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst has joined her ancestors, aged 30. She passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022, in New York.
Her family confirmed her death in a press statement.
According to authorities, Kryst died after jumping from a 60-story building at 350 W. 42nd Street in New York City around 7:15 a.m. local time.
It is reported that Kryst lived on the ninth floor of the Orion building and was last seen on a 29th-floor terrace.
Following her death, Kryst’s family said Sunday in a statement: “In devastation and great sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved Cheslie. Her great light was one that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength. She cared, she loved, she laughed and she shined.”
The statement added: “Cheslie embodied love and served others, whether through her work as an attorney fighting for social justice, as Miss USA and as a host on Extra. But most importantly, as a daughter, sister, friend, mentor, and colleague – we know her impact will live on.”

Kryst did have a private life and focused more on achieving her career goals. She had no children, neither did she get married or have a boyfriend.
Also, from her Instagram posts, she has been privy about her personal life. She has not shared any post about falling in love or being engaged.
Kryst is survived by her mother April Simpkins and sister Asa Kryst.
