Former President John Mahama has expressed his dissatisfaction with the investigation into the alleged corruption involving former Sanitation Minister, Cecilia Abena Dapaah.
Two house helps, Patience Botwe and Sarah Agyei, were charged with stealing millions of cedis in cash and items from the couple’s residence in Abelemkpe, Accra.
The Attorney General’s office advised against a money laundering investigation by EOCO, stating that the CID would handle the case. In response, Mahama promised to reopen investigations into the corruption claims.
The Executive Director of Ghana Integrity Initiatives, Mary Awelana Addah, criticized EOCO for not conducting a thorough investigation independently. She emphasized the need to pursue such cases to their logical conclusion.
