After Douglas’s divorce was finalized, they were engaged on December 31, 1999, and on November 18, 2000, they were married at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. According to the BBC, the high-profile wedding, which is thought to have cost £1.5 million, is the “wedding of the year.”
