Casey Hayward Jr., a cornerback with the National Football League’s Atlanta Falcons, was born on September 9, 1989. (NFL). He played football at Vanderbilt University while there. Hayward played five seasons with the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers before being selected by the Green Bay Packers in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
Hayward went to Perry High School and was a three-sport standout in football, basketball, and track. He was a three-year starter at quarterback and also appeared in a few games at cornerback.
He led his team to the state quarterfinals as a senior by passing for 1,300 yards and 18 touchdowns and rushing for 1,284 yards and another 18 touchdowns.
He also had three interceptions that he recovered for touchdowns. He was named Region 4-AAA Player of the Year for his efforts. He was also named All-State defensive back and All-Middle Georgia offensive lineman.
